Mount Erciyes

Mount Erciyes is the highest mountain in Central Anatolia, rising to 3,917 meters (12,851 ft). As an extinct stratovolcano, it played a fundamental role in the formation of Cappadocia's unique landscape, with volcanic eruptions millions of years ago creating the soft tuff rock that later evolved into the region's famous fairy chimneys and valleys.
