Tyana Ancient City

Tyana Ancient City was one of the most important cities of ancient Cappadocia and a major stop on the trade routes connecting Anatolia with the Mediterranean. Located in present-day Kemerhisar (Niğde), the city flourished during the Hellenistic, Roman, and Byzantine periods and is best known as the birthplace of the philosopher Apollonius of Tyana.
